Influential Photos

these photos are the first photos taken on a camera and a cellphone respectively. they both are milestones in photographic technology.

my first day of kindergarten picture depicts a defining moment in my life because its when i started school and school has been one of the biggest things in my life since.

ELEMENTS OF ART & COMPOSITION

i see Lines in the side walls, color in the lights on the roof , shape on the roof (circles and octagons), texture in the roof, horizons in the low horizon line, leading lines in the lines leading to the back on the side walls , and depth in the three people standing different distances away.

Balance is a technique in photography in which that that the objects are of equal visual weight, When different parts of a photo command your attention equally, perfect balance is achieved.

The rule of thirds is applied by aligning a subject with the guiding lines and their intersection points, placing the horizon on the top or bottom line, or allowing linear features in the image to flow from section to section.

Leading lines is the technique where the viewer of your photos attention is drawn to lines that lead to the main subject of the image. A Leading line paves an easy path for the eye to follow through different elements of a photo.

Depth is the distance between the nearest and furthest elements in a scene that appear to be “acceptably sharp” in an image. The distance between the camera and the first element that is considered to be acceptably sharp is called DoF near limit.

Shutter Speed

When I adjusted the shutter speed you could tell that the pictures got more clear and more sharp as the shutter speed gets lower. I personally like the lower ones because they look sharp and the higher ones give it a motion blur.

EXPOSURE RESEARCH

What does it mean to have a proper exposure?

your combination of settings between aperture, shutter speed and ISO speed have produced a perfectly exposed image

What is the minimum shutter speed you need to stop the moving propeller?

1/400

What shutter speed creates a sense of movement in the propeller?

1/60

What is the best f/stop to use to get maximum Depth of Field (the most sharpness in the foreground and background)?

aperture- 22 shutter speed- 1/60 ISO- 6400

What is the visual difference in image quality between ISO 100 and ISO 25600?

the lower it is the clearer it is

What does the acronym ISO mean?

international standardization organisation

What does the ISO control inside the camera when you adjust it?

its the light gathering ability for digital photography, ISO refers to the sensitivity the signal gain of the camera’s sensor

EXPOSURE TRIANGLE

The exposure triangle is a common way of associating the three variables that determine the exposure of a photograph: aperture(a space through which light passes in an optical or photographic instrument, especially the variable opening by which light enters a camera), shutter speed(the time for which a shutter is open at a given setting), and ISO(the sensitivity of the image sensor; the lower the number the less sensitive your camera is to light) . One must balance all three of these to achieve a desired result
